Green Re-Leaf Smoothie

Does anyone else feel like it is hard to find a morning routine that truly sticks? During quarantine, we have found the best way to stick to routines and stay motivated is by keeping repetition and simple tasks during the first half of the day. We have a cuddle with our cats and/or dogs, make the bed, water the plants, brush teeth/wash face, meditate for 10-20 minutes and have a breakfast smoothie. Our favorite go-to smoothie is the quintessential recipe to get all our important nutrients for the day, while avoiding radical fats in the morning to give our liver's extra detoxification time. We also add a Re-Leaf boost to relax the mind and body for the long day ahead. The turmeric and hemp oil are truly medicinal powerhouses, while the golden chai milk taste pairs lovely with the greens and fruits in the smoothie.
Each ingredient is blended in with purpose, for not only delicious taste, but healing benefits for the body. Bananas are more than a base for a smoothie. They are made up of 76% water and packed Vitamin C and B6, potassium, copper, and manganese. This high water/nutrient ratio makes them a great electrolyte food perfect for busy moms, workout enthusiasts, and people on the go. Spinach contains trace bioavailable nutrients that are critical for neuron support, while also containing microorganisms that are responsible for producing the methylated form of B12 that absorbs into the liver. Dates are the ideal brain food. They regulate blood sugar and keep energy levels stable, while offering immense anti-inflammatory and strengthening properties (great for athletes)! Mango not only delectable treats, but contain a significant amount of pyridoxine, which is vital for the synthesis of serotonin and dopamine in the brain, as well as for helping the body break down sugars, fats and proteins. (Mango is very high in magnesium, which relaxes the body and mind and pairs wonderfully with Re-Leaf). Oat milk, specifically made from gluten-free oats is the perfect creamy liquid base that boasts anti-inflammatory and pathogenic properties. It is not an overt fat nut milk, which means it very easily digestible in the mornings. Spirulina is an edible blue-green algae that draws out heavy metals from your brain, central nervous system, and liver. Lastly, barley grass juice powder has the ability to draw heavy metals out of your spleen, intestinal tract, pancreas, thyroid, and reproductive system.
